Hi everyone!

I hope you enjoyed learning somewhat about me in my last post. Those were just some of my basic loves. I'm also going to start putting images with posts... some big, some small. They'll be my different addictions & I'll describe each. :) My first photo, is my favourite pic of the lovely Kate Mulgrew. It's an absolutely gorgeous headshot of her & I think it's one of the best.

So what's going on with me? Well I'm on my summer vacation from university right now. I don't have a job & I'm completely bored (it's rather awful). Oh.. maybe that's important lol. I'm in my 2nd year at Brock University studying Tourism, I may choose a minor in something... but I haven't decided yet.

It's getting pretty hot here too (which blows). I'm spending a lot my time indoors on my laptop & I think it's driving my mother insane. We do have a pool, so I've been trying to do laps a few times a week. We're also in the middle of doing house renovations, we've got a whole kitchen project underway right now & that won't be done until the end of July. I'll probably post pics when it's done, it should look pretty great!!

I'm also watching a lot of downloaded TV shows & reading a lot of books. Chapters had a buy 3, get the 4th free so I took full advantage with my $50 giftcard. I got:

I also have a lot more novels that I've bought in the last year that I need to catch up on... it'll probably take me a while lol. I've mostly been watching Star Trek - Voyager, but I also downloaded other shows that featured Kate Mulgrew. The four I got were Murphy Brown (one episode from Season 4), Cheers (3 episodes from Season 4), The Black Donnellys, and Law & Order: SVU (one episode from Season 7).

Well that's really all that I can think of for now. Oh!! I get to see my favourite group (Great Big Sea) on August 22nd at the Molson Amphitheatre. I'm soooo excited for this show, I'm in the 202 section (as opposed to the 303 section last year). I'm right in the centre & only a few rows back... can't wait!! I'll be sure to post pictures & tell my stories about it after it happens.

Wow, I haven't posted on here in 3 weeks. Oops! I thought I'd post my answer to the featured question on xanga. It's a good one.


This was today's featured question on xanga & I just thought it was an interesting one to take a stab at. Here's my answer:

I want to. I tried once when I was in grade 12 (about 5 years ago) & the nurse doing it screwed up & put the needle into the wrong vein. She was working my left arm & spent like 10min feeling for a vein & stuck it in. All I hear from her was "oops, it's in the wrong vein". My reaction was "WHAT??" She didn't even apologize or anything, just took it out & that was it.

The bruise left in the crook of my elbow (where the vein is, duh) was huge & swollen. It last for several weeks & it hurt too. The only plus, was the clinic here called me to see how I was doing & to make sure the bruise wasn't any bigger. I was lucky it wasn't, cuz it could've meant something serious.

So basically that's my story. I'd love to try again, but I have to muster up the courage to go & actually tell them to do it right. I'll have to tell them to use my strong arm & hopefully it'll be better. I'm just afraid that the next nurse I have will be just as incompetent. ARGH... it's something I was excited to do (cuz I was of age by grade 12) & really wanted to & my chance was ruined by her. 

I may try this year, as I'd like to make 2009 a year of new things & getting things accomplished. Losing weight, exercising, eating healthy, etc. I'd like to add donating blood to that list. Wish me luck!!
